A Multi-mode CATI-Web Survey Experience with Blaise
Craig Ray; Westat, USA

Multi-mode surveys using the web and traditional CAPI or CATI methods are an increasingly important research
approach. The Blaise system architecture offers a promising set of capabilities for integrating these modes in both
development and implementation. This paper discusses Westat's first implementation of a production CATI-Web
survey with Blaise for a nationally representative sample, collecting information on the public's need for, access to,
and use of cancer-related information.
